22 Days of Hope: Day 1

Learn about the CSS ministries supported by you

22 Days of Hope: Day 1

In support of our annual Fall Sign of Hope Appeal, Catholic Social Services is launching 22 Days of Hope. Throughout October, this series will highlight the 20 ministries that count on the generous contributions to the Sign of Hope in order to serve the most vulnerable and marginalized within the central Alberta region.

The Sign of Hope serves as the vital source of funds for our ministries -- including our group homes, pregnancy crisis centre, and counselling services. The annual campaign was first launched by Catholic Social Services in 1984, and continues to this day as an important vessel of our Agency.

With the continuous support from our friends, benefactors and donors, we have been able to develop new ministries, provide compassionate care to those accessing our services, and foster new relationships with individuals in our community every day.

There are many ways to support CSS through the Sign of Hope. Many individuals have chosen to volunteer their time and talents at one of our ministries or at events like Uplift: Day of Mercy. Our volunteers make a tremendous impact to the lives of individuals we are blessed to serve. Without the amazing contributions from our volunteers, our Agency would not be able to provide the most optimal care to those we serve.

Another way to support us through the Sign of Hope is to pray with us and for those in our care. By joining us in our weekly prayer intentions, we can provide strength and resiliency to those who need guidance and spiritual hope within our community.

Whether you choose to pray, volunteer, or donate to us, you can become a Sign of Hope with Catholic Social Services.
