Catholic Social Services
Our ministries rely on the support of generous contributions made to the Fall Sign of Hope appeal, in order to serve the most vulnerable in our community. One of these ministries is Gianna Centre.
Gianna Centre is a ministry offered through our Community Outreach and Disability Service, providing information, support, and advocacy to those who are facing an unplanned or crisis pregnancy. This ministry joined Catholic Social Services early last year, formerly known as Edmonton Pregnancy Crisis Centre, and is fully dependent on the commitment and support of our volunteers.
The centre offers a wide range of free services and support to women, their partners and their families. The goal of Gianna Centre is to promote the sanctity of human life and protect the unborn, while also helping the parent and immediate family through a potentially stressful time. Gianna Centre provides our counselling services and assistance from staff and trained peer counsellors.
