​The Lloydminster Gateway for Newcomers is a one stop shop that connects newcomers to services within and near Lloydminster.

Gateway for Newcomers offers services to help you integrate into your community and find the information, resources, services, and support you need.

We can help you:

  • Find out if you qualify for a language assessment.
  • Schedule a language assessment appointment.
  • Find an English language class.
  • Plan for your career and employment in Lloydminster.
  • Find out if you qualify to meet with a Settlement Advisor.
  • Find community groups that share your ethnocultural background, faith, language, or interests.

Services are offered in several languages.

Eligibility Requirements

If you are an immigrant, refugee, or migrant you can use this service.

The Gateway is designed to welcome you and is available to ALL newcomers, whether coming to Alberta or Saskatchewan directly from abroad or from another province.

How Much Will the Program Cost Me?

There is no charge for Gateway services.

Funding for the Gateway for Newcomers is provided by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, the Government of Saskatchewan, and Alberta Labour.
