Bubble Ball Bonanza Raises Funds and Fun at Westerner Days

Bubble Ball Bonanza Raises Funds and Fun at Westerner Days

On Sunday, July 20, Catholic Social Services (CSS) proudly participated in the Bubble Ball & Kidventure event during Westerner Days in Red Deer. The week-long festival ran from July 16 to 20, bringing joy, excitement, and community spirit to the region.

Our team of 15 energetic volunteers helped run the bouncy castles and games inside the Westerner Pavilion, and also hosted the wildly popular Bubble Ball event on Sunday. More than 150 brave attendees signed up to take part, with teenagers, in particular, showing serious competitive spirit!

The event wasn’t just about fun—it was about impact. Thanks to participant donations and generous enthusiasm from the crowd, we raised over $750 in support of our Sign of Hope campaign, which funds critical Catholic Social Services programs for vulnerable people.

We extend heartfelt thanks to:

  • Our 15 incredible volunteers
  • The Central South Region Special Projects Committee
  • Our Volunteer Program Liaison, who helped make the experience seamless and successful

This was our first time participating as an Agency at Westerner Days, and we were honoured to be chosen as one of the featured charities for this event. From smiles and laughter to generous donations, it was a day full of hope—and we’re already looking forward to next year!
