22 Days of Hope: Day 18

Funded in part by the Sign of Hope, Mercy Counselling is a community-based, psychological counselling clinic for the greater Edmonton area. We provide psychological counselling and assessment services to children, youth, adults, couples, and families in English, French, and Spanish.

We serve a diverse range of people from all walks of life

Mercy Counselling is open to all members of the public. Counsellors focus on the concerns that people bring, within the scope of practice of our staff members. Common challenges people might seek support for include anxiety, depression, self-esteem, learning, work-related problems, and personality difficulties, as well frustrations in marriage, family life, and interpersonal relationships.

Our approach

We help people to explore the difficulties they bring to counselling. We work together to understand the identity and struggles of an individual, couple, or family in order to increase a sense of grace, hope, and love in their lives. Our counsellors are experienced in more than just the bio-psychosocial issues that people face. Instead, we take a bio-psychosocial-spiritual approach and integrate the belief systems and spiritual values that people have into our understanding of them and their needs, whether they belong to a system of faith or have no faith at all.

We understand that what people believe about themselves, their identity, and their place in the world can have a big impact on their mental health and relationships. We take this aspect of our work seriously and journey with people to heal emotional pain and hurt in all areas of life. This is what we call faith-informed counselling. What you believe about yourself can be a source of both struggle and support. The goal of our ministry is to help people thrive and live a beautiful, full life.

Catholic Counselling

In addition to working with a wide variety of cultures and faith traditions, our counsellors are able to provide psychological counselling and assessment services with full knowledge and understanding of the Roman and Eastern Catholic faith traditions.

If you are looking for counselling or assessment services, please give us a call at (780) 391-3233.
