Construction on our newest residential home is slated to be completed by the late spring/early summer.
Located in Edmonton, Bethany House will serve as a temporary home for people in our care as CSS group homes are renovated or completely rebuilt through our Project Building Hope plan.
Bethany House itself is designed like a duplex, with bedrooms, bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room on each half of the main floor. The home will be able to accommodate everyone in our care, meaning that the building itself will be easily accessible, while bedrooms will have space for items like wheelchairs. As well, track systems along the ceiling will enable our direct care staff to more easily assist the people they serve.
In total, eight residents will be able to live there at one time.
While the main floor is reserved for the people in our care, the basement will contain staff quarters and offices.
The ground-breaking for Bethany House was held last summer.
