Our group homes in Edmonton, Red Deer, Wainwright, Innisfail, and Lacombe have all renamed their residence through a series of house blessing ceremonies earlier this fall. These renaming ceremonies are part of our Agency’s on-going effort to more accurately express the identity of our ministries through our names.
“Names are important; names provide dignity,” said CSS CEO Stephen Carattini, when explaining the initiative at this year’s Fall Celebration. “They draw us into a personal relationship and by invoking a name of a Saint in particular, it is also a constant prayer for that saint’s intercession and protection.”
Staff members at each of the group homes chose a Saint that resonated closely with the staff and the residents in their care, as the home’s new namesake.
May their chosen Saint continue to guide and protect the staff through their work at: St Gemma Galgani; St. Germaine; St. Marguerite Bourgeoys; St. Francis; St. Veronica; St. Finnian; St. John; St. Louise; St. Patrick; St. De La Cabeza; Koinonia; Neri House; St. Mary; St. Gabriel; St. Merici; St. Paul; St. Genevieve; St. Helena and St. Charles; St. Cecilia; St. Angela; St. Teresa of Avila; St. Andre Bessette; St. Joseph of Cupertino; St. Gabriel; and St. Justin.
