Individuals in our care are often faced with exceptional challenges and personal struggles that prevent them from receiving a second chance at a new beginning. The services offered in our various ministries provide a pinnacle of hope to those wanting to make a change and take back control of their life. By supporting the Fall Sign of Hope appeal, this hope becomes a reality for many women who access our Valeda House ministry.
Valeda House offers temporary supportive housing to women with children and pregnant women. Opened in fall 2010 under our Children, Family, and Community Service, this ministry focuses on assisting women struggling to find housing in a safe environment due to their high risk lifestyle situation, varying addictions, or mental health conditions.
With the help of an assigned support worker, Valeda House helps the women regain their self-confidence by creating individual personal goals, find long-term affordable housing, and maintain the support needed to be a success in the community.
