Staff in our four Edmonton-based Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder ministries hosted a Family Day Carnival that formed a stronger community with the people we serve.
The carnival was held ahead of Family Day weekend on Thursday, February 16 at Grovenor Community Hall. It included hamburgers and hotdogs, a popcorn machine, cotton candy, a photo booth, crafts, and games for everyone. In all, 23 adults and 23 children/youth attend the event.
There was a lot of laughter and fun as people engaged with others within our ministries. Staff from the different ministries all pitched in to make this a successful event. One of the people we serve from the McDaniel Youth ministry also volunteered to help us set up for the afternoon.
We are looking forward to planning another event in the late spring or early fall!
