McDaniel Manor celebrates 10 Year Anniversary

Staff and volunteers with our Community Outreach and Disability Service celebrated McDaniel Manor’s 10 year anniversary on Thursday, July 14.

The milestone event acknowledged staff who have dedicated 10 years of service to the Ministry, as well as residents who have been with the home since the beginning. Deacon Randy Abele, our CSS chaplain, was also invited to the celebration and offered a blessing to commemorate the special occasion. Attendees of the event enjoyed a delicious barbecue meal prepared by the wonderful staff, accompanied by live music and fun activities that led into the late afternoon.

McDaniel Manor was established in July 2006 as the Agency’s first assisted living facility specifically for seniors with developmental disabilities. The residence was built with the financial support from McDaniel Foundation and Homeward Trust.

CSS CEO Stephen Carattini took a moment at the event to remember McDaniel Foundation’s Joan McDaniel for her generous support and contribution to the facility over the years: “Joan McDaniel was a very faithful, determined, and caring person. It’s thanks to her and Homeward Trust that allow our Agency to provide this home, and we are very blessed to be able to do that.”

With the capacity to serve up to 10 residents, McDaniel Manor currently provides care to nine.
